MORE THAN AHEAD
In 2005, Theo and Ina Verhoeven started 'Eeterij Voorafentoe'. We started as a lunchroom. Theo had already worked in the hospitality industry for 25 years and felt it was time to start something of his own. A business with his own ideas and atmosphere. The building at the Galerij (formerly a jewelry store) was completely renovated into a restaurant. It was a fantastic challenge, and we had complete freedom to transform the shop into a modern-day eatery. In 2015, we renovated everything again, bringing it back to the present day. We are deeply attached to the Burgundian and Southern European lifestyle and food. This is clearly reflected at Voorafentoe. You can see it in the friendly atmosphere, the personal attention, and of course, in the menu. If there's time for a chat, we're certainly happy to!
KITCHEN
Voorafentoe has an open kitchen, so as a chef, you're also involved with your guests. Guests can smell and see what's happening. We work with fresh ingredients, which we prepare into delicious dishes. The menu is extensive, from standard, familiar dishes to surprising dishes for those who appreciate them. We also offer vegetarian options and cater to allergies. The cuisine is Mediterranean-inspired, and you'll see and taste this reflected in the dishes.
